Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve in Idaho is an incredible place with amazing scenery and challenging hikes! We spent a few days here in mid-April, and it was still very…very cold (at least for us).
While it was cold, it didn’t stop us from hiking many of the available hikes in the park including Inferno Cove, Devil’s Garden, Tree Molds Trails, and more! We also camped in the park campground and it allowed us to get to the hikes quickly while leaving our cargo trailer camper parked safely nearby. This is early in the season so it wasn’t busy at all, but I’m sure this park gets a lot of visitors in the summer, so be prepared when you go!
